Another example of a photo done as a 5 color simulated print with white text overlay. Gives a soft touch neat print on black. This one was for Marc Fails who really comes through every year for the show : http://www.facebook.com/pages/SaabsCarlisle/263575525029
Number two design from Quaker City Motor Works. If you missed out on the first one....get hot!! http://quakercitymotorworks.com/ We lost one of the few talents in the 'burg. Jersey Mike started Greenbelt Events to bring great music to the Abbey bar in Harrisburg. He was one of the few that didn't just sit around and talk about things....he got to it. Thanks Mike for being a friend and a great human being. And good luck to those keeping Greenbelt alive. Mike would be proud-- http://greenbeltevents.com/ With the cold weather and 22' concrete ceilings at the shop the inks get a little rough. You can mix with a stick all day and all you get is sore. We had some steel rod in the shop so we welded up a quick bit for the drill. I know they make ones for paint but they are hard to clean plasticol ink out of. This really seems to do the trick. I say make one for white and one for colors.
Actually only 3 color. There was no black in the original art. Probably the best one with the least amount of work. This one was a test print for the band Savoir Adore. There are a couple add-ons for the auto that you can get. One is the auto advance foot switch. We highly recommend this one. If you are running it alone it makes it a lot smoother. You can order a super industrial one but we found one on ebay (actually 2) for $9. So if one breaks we have a backup.
There also is the add-on missed shirt sensor. Really expensive at $1500 without a real substitute.... Sounded really cool but once you get through the learning curve we don't really see the need. Keeps you on your toes! One of the more original designs to come through here in a while.
Don't hold back...tell us what you really like. http://starslinger.net/ Kenric down at Quaker City Motor Works in Philly is coming up with some new limited motorcycle designs on sale through his site. It will be a one shot - get em while they last !!! Check it out
http://quakercitymotorworks.com/ Here are some cool car guys in Harrisburg that are doing some great lo-fi graphics for the tuner set. Great to see the kids still like things with wheels and not just phones.... Check them out!! http://lowlifestyle.com/
Here was one that was unexpected. Didn't know Kevin Costner had this going on. Might have to give it a chance. You have to have respect for people with money who try something instead of figuring out which new 20 million dollar house to never live in. 5 color print on black. http://kevincostnermodernwest.com/home/ |
